Microsoft breaks new ground with it's latest instant messaging program. In addition to the stardard chat and file sharing MSN Messenger gives users the option to make PC to PC or PC to phone calls for free, anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.
Microsoft has incorporated other inovative features into Messenger 3.0 as well, like being able to check your email from within the program, notification of when someone is replying to your message, and the ability to send messages to cell phones and pagers
The quality of the free phone calls is a litle uneven, but useable none the less - and the price is right :) Microsoft moves to the front of the IM pack with this release.
