Continued
I just hate how every new movie that comes out (especially during the summer and Christmas season) is promoted to the brink of disaster (just look at Mission Impossible II). Chris Carter let the movie try to answer some of the questions all of us TV watchers had about what was really going on, but it didn't answer them all and left everything open for another movie. And the series moved on; Mulder continued his crusade with Scully by his side.
For those of you who don't watch the X-Files, then you won't understand a bit of what I'm about to say. Mulder disappears and Scully is pregnant. (Why does Scully have to be pregnant? Is it because of the episode with the little girl who turned out to be Scully's daughter?) Mulder's disappearance during the last season's ender was a sign that Duchnovy will not be a regular this year. I have heard that the guy that played the "Terminator" (I can't remember his name) in the sequel will be Scully's new partner. He is supposed to be the complete opposite of Mulder's character. I thought they were going to replace Mulder with CSM's, or Cancer Man's (depends on to whom you talk), son, but he was killed by Krychek (I have a theory that Krychek wants to be Cancer Man).
Anyway, the point is the show is going into its seventh season and is evolving into something new. If you have never watched the X-Files, check it out sometime. There is a story for everyone. My husband has been very kind and let me enjoy watching every week. And now, even though it's not his favorite show, there have been several episodes that he really enjoyed. I don't know if these changes will work, but I'll keep watching as long as the writing continues to interest me.
