Are You There, Lord

"Are You There, Lord?"
Last night I tried to reach Lord,
as I said my prayer,
But all I got was his machine
that said he wasn't there.

The message said that He'd return
but first He had to save
Two angels fallen from His grace
named Gabriel and Dave.

It seems the two indulged in too much
sacramental wine.
The Sky Police then nabbed them with a
summons and a fine.

The Blessed Father went and freed
Dave and Gabriel
And warned them that the next time they would
surely land in Hell.

I tried the Lord again that night,
praying from my knees,
I smiled when I heard Him say,
"Next caller, please."
