Morning News Shows

Tamara Kendall

continued

The people around him complement his rough exterior: Charles, Bernard, Warner Wolff (he's my favorite sports guy), and of course his brother, Fred. Deidre, his wife, calls in from time to time, and she is quite funny. There are other people in the studio with him, but I can't remember their names right now.

Recently, Imus was thrown from his horse out in New Mexico. I saw him on Larry King a few weeks ago and he looked okay for someone in his condition. If I remember correctly, he had a punctured lung, broken collarbone, several broken ribs, etc. He was in very bad shape. He told Larry King that he thought he was going to die. He had to be revived twice. Last week, he had to go back for more surgery on his collarbone. He is a lucky man, and he knows it too.

I heard him this morning and he sounds as good as ever. He was ranting about last night's football broadcast. Dennis Miller had his Monday Night Football debut, which we missed. Anyway, I got the impression that Imus didn't like Dennis Miller very much. He said that Al Michaels and Dan Fouts were not comfortable (that's not exactly what he said, but it's what I got out of it.)

So, if you ever get tired of all the conformed, politically correct morning news shows, just switch the dial over to MSNBC and enjoy something different.
