Although weak and wretched,
Although full of shame,
God took my broken soul
And made it whole again.
God's love is unparalled,
Unselfish and devine.
He gave His precious Son
To save undeserving souls like mine.
Sometimes it's hard to grasp the thought
Of why He died for me.
Why He would send His only Son
To die on Calvary's tree.
But,
One day the thought just hit me,
I'd come to see the light.
God's love was sent to change my life
To guide life's weary flight.
Someday I'll get to see His face.
I'll touch His nail-scarred hands.
I'll bow my knees before He
When I reach His Promised Land.
I'll thank Him for the life He gave,
For the grace He's shown to me.
For all the answered prayers
And life eternally.
God's love is everlasting.
He gives us hope and glee.
To travel through our worldly life
'Til we reach our final destiny.
